• Bug Fixes
  • Apply this patch to base 1404001 installs to fix the test email bug
• New Features
  • New Web Engine
    • Migrated to a new multi-threaded web engine that is more robust and stable. 
    • Future updates will no longer cause the user to be disconnected from the Web UI during update
  • Catalyst Center Backup Integrity Checks:
    •  Backup Assure now reads the Catalyst Center backup meta data to ensure backups are validated.  Detailed information about each components retention status is provided in the email report
  • CUCM Backup Integrity Checks:
    • Backup meta data is read to validate CUCM backups.  Detailed information about each components retention status is provided in the email report
  • ISE Web GUI Integrity Checks: 
    • Run a verification check against your last ISE backup by providing the backup encryption key to Backup Assure in the Web UI.  Checks for file integrity and gives confidence in the recorded encryption key
    • Email alerts provide detailed information regarding ISE backup integrity checks
  • FMC and FTD Backup Integrity Checks:
    • When the verification check option is enabled in the Web UI, the FMC and FTD backups are validated through deep inspection of each backup.  Detailed information about each nodes retention status is provided in the email report

• New Features
  •  Prepare for 1404001: 
    •  Enables updates to be applied as zip files, unzipping an update and applying the .gpg file extension is no longer required.
    • Prepares the system for the new features in build 1404001

1403010 release 15/03/2025

• Bug Fixes
  •  User authorisation failure: 
    •  Issue with system updates that need a reboot not restarting the system.  This leaves the user management system in a partial update state resulting in failed backups and logins to the cli
    • Disables the current update script and utilises the system updater to recognise when a reboot is required.  Updates are scheduled for 10am, recommendation is to not have any backups starting within 2 hours of 10am local time
    • Recommend a reboot after applying this patch

  •  Cisco ISE Backup Tracking: 
    •  Adds support for tracking Cisco ISE Configuration and Operational backups as separate jobs 
    •  Provides detailed alarm notifications indicating whether each backup succeeded or failed
  •  Multi cluster FMC Backup: 
    • Enhances the ability to identify and back up multiple FMC clusters 
    •  Includes alarm notifications to track the success or failure of backups for each cluster.  The FMC cluster  interval is for all clusters backed up to Backup Assure
