Our Journey
At Backup Assure, our story began with a common challenge faced by many organisations: the difficulty of managing backups, particularly in environments that rely on Cisco DNA Centre. We noticed that despite the critical importance of backups, many customers were struggling to implement them effectively. They found existing solutions too complex and required Linux expertise that they simply didn’t have.
Through our years of experience managing Cisco DNA Centre, we observed a recurring issue: customers needed to meet specific backup requirements but found the process daunting and cumbersome. The documentation provided was often not enough to bridge the gap, leading to frustration and, in many cases, the abandonment of backup practices altogether. Even with Linux teams following the guidelines, the complexity and technical demands led to repeated failures.
Our Solution
Drawing on over 20 years of experience in systems and Linux administration, we recognized an opportunity to make a real difference. We set out to create a backup server product that was not only easy to deploy but also required no Linux skills to operate.
Our goal was to develop a solution that would simplify the backup process while fully meeting Cisco DNA Centre’s requirements. By focusing on user experience and ease of use, we aimed to remove the barriers that had previously prevented effective backups.
